The Beginning

"Breaking Free from Mental Confinement" is a conceptual visual composition illustrating the struggle of individuals trapped in feelings of stagnation and despair. It suggests that liberation from this confined mindset is possible through the accumulation of diverse experiences and resources. My motivation for undertaking this project was to steer towards a path leading to a stable career as the new year commenced.

The Process

The project was inspired by Andrew Marston (2D Motioneer) who came up with the rigging and provided the free plugin in After Effects for other artists to experiment. In the process of searching and asking "where and what kind of work I wanted to do," I arrived at his projects with "this is the type of execution that I want to achieve for clients that pertain to this type of style."
The Process

Seeing this abstract painting while visiting Broad Museum gave me the thought of it as a tunnel transition that relates to my concept.
My feelings invoked a journey, a blood glintching physical tolls, and experiencing the ups and downs while you are traversing through the tunnel.
